Q. What is RAGS?
A. A social group, mainly for women, to get together and talk, laugh, meet one another. If you're new to the River, if it's winter and you've had it with the rain, if it's summer and you'd rather talk than tan ... come on down and meet us. In many cases women who meet here become friends throughout the year.

Q. Why RAGS?
A. Why not? Have you ever been through winter here without some friends? It can be very good to get together with other women in town and remind yourself we're all in this together. Plus, you could win a completely worthless and tasteless gift in our lovely raffle!

Q. I'm a RAGS member and I have a completely worthless and tasteless RAGS gift to donate. Who do I call?
A. Wrap it in a lovely and tasteful gift wrapping, and bring it to the next RAGS meeting. Watch for the look of delight or despair on the face of the person who wins it!

Q. You hold RAGS gatherings at bars, but I'm sober. Do I have to drink alcohol to participate?
A. No, you don't! Our motto is, no judgement, no agenda, just laughs! You drink what you want ... we don't care. Many of our members drink water or juice or soda.

Q. Is this a singles night?
A. No, it's a fun night! If you're single, you're welcome ... if you're a couple, you're welcome. Both singles and couples show up. Looking for love? You never know, you might meet the love of your life here, but then you might meet her at the laundromat.

Q. What does it cost to join?
A. Nothing! We eliminated membership fees. But if you could drop a dollar in the donation jar when there is one, this would go towards our ongoing costs like this website.

Q. What does it cost to host a RAGS night at my bar?
A. Give us the free food, that's it!
